Living Room - Study Furniture
JP House, Bello, Antioquia
May 2024
This furniture piece arose from a request by a book lover and craft enthusiast who needed a space for hobbies within a single domestic area. The intervention was part of a larger interior renovation that included the kitchen and living room, with which it needed to maintain visual and material coherence.
The furniture integrated storage, display, books, and workspace, using a design language that respected the identity of the rest of the home. Functions were organized around open shelves, a suspended desk, and closed storage modules.
The cabinets were made of natural wood with graphite-colored fronts, chosen to maintain chromatic consistency with the existing kitchen and TV furniture. Open shelves and niches facilitated the display of personal items and books.
