Office Renovation
Medellin, Colombia
May 2024
Located in the eastern area of Medellín, this project involved the complete renovation of the office of a well-known local artist. The aim was to update the brand's visual identity and respond to new work dynamics, with a focus on comfort, collaboration, and a visual connection to the urban landscape.
The guiding concept centered on creating a fluid and luminous space that encourages interaction without sacrificing privacy, while offering a warm, tactile experience. Wood as an enclosing element, along with indoor vegetation, provided a counterpoint to the rigidity typical of corporate environments.
The floor plan was organized around a flexible central area, defined by shelving, planters, and meeting furniture. Open workstations, meeting rooms, individual stations, and rest areas were integrated into a layout visually connected to each other and to the city through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Extensive use of wood across ceilings, walls, and furniture shaped a welcoming atmosphere. Neutral tones and curved forms reinforced the sense of fluidity. Details such as recessed circular lights, transparent partitions, and built-in planters added a contemporary character to the space.
The interior design aimed to balance focus and collaboration. Open areas supported shared work dynamics, while more contained spaces allowed for quiet and concentration. Color was used sparingly, allowing natural light, wood textures, and plant life to take prominence.
The result was a functional office, closely connected to its urban context. A renovation that redefined the workplace as a space for creation, connection, and shared experience.
